Who
we are

Efren Garcia is a retired Army veteran with over 20 years of service. He was diagnosed and treated for severe alcohol use disorder, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. During his recovery, Efren completed a 28-day residential treatment where he learned coping skills, received medical care, and studied therapies like CBT and DBT. He also attended SMART Recovery and Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. Afterward, he joined a 60-day outpatient addiction program, where he found a passion for recovery and helping others.

After treatment, Efren successfully retired. During his transition, he studied Psychology at American Public University, aiming to graduate by Summer 2026. He completed 50 hours of residential Peer Support Certification and other courses to get certified in North Carolina. He still works on his recovery and education and cares deeply about helping others with addictions and disabilities.

Our services are designed to meet our Peers exactly where they are in their journey. Whether they have participated in inpatient treatment, attended outpatient programs, engaged with AA meetings, or are simply beginning to navigate their recovery from the very start, we are here to provide the compassionate support they need.
